Paint like an ARTIST! Kids will LOVE this shimmering Canvas & acrylic painting workshop inspired by the famous story 'The Little Mermaid' by Hans Christian Anderson!

Art Webinar for Children: Age Range Age 5 (requiring more help) - Age 10
With some backstory and reference to the famous book by Hans Christian Anderson, we will delve into the deep blue in search of mysterious mermaids to inspire our wonderful canvas* ! (We recommend using a canvas to create your artwork but if you don't have one, you can always complete on paper).
Another favourite and seasonally apt Summer workshop. We will have a bright colour palette. This children’s classic is sure to inspire budding young artists - interweaving storytelling + art to create a wonderful sea inspired mermaid painting.
Children will be inspired, through discussions and demonstrations to create their own original art works fit to be framed.
Children love to create, so why not send them in to do what they love! Children age 5+.

We'll plan our artwork before building our painting in a series of expressive and more controlled layers. The Artwork will be adorned with elements reminiscent of artists of the past such as Gustav Klimt. From swirls to circles, stylised details and bright colours will bring their stunning masterpieces to life. Your child will be guided through an exciting exploration of art activity to be proud to hang on their wall.
Paint like artists with step by step guidance and following our intuitive sense of colour, contrast and composition. From background to under layers + transparencies + embellishments, your children will have a whale of a time in this fab, fun 1.5 hour session!
This is a popular Artreach Studios art workshop and one that many have thoroughly enjoyed! Many artworks take pride of place on living room and bedroom walls! A chance for budding young artists to learn great skills and create an artwork inspired by one of tour favourite themes!
Children love to create, so why not let them do what they want!
Children age 5+ (please make sure the very young are guided by an adult - you are the best judge of your child's level of concentration!)

***You will need: Large at least A3 Canvas or 220gms paper or water colour paper size A3. Acrylic Paint: dark, light blue, dark, light Green, white, red, magenta, purple. large, medium and small paint brushes + Embellishments (glitter + sequins). PVA Glue, Pencil + rubber, pot of water for rinsing (change often to keep colours clean), paper towels of old cotton rags, cover tables and wear an apron or old clothes.

This art webinar is lead by mixed media professional artists Colette Gambell and Kate Jerry who have years of experience teaching children through art workshops based on the Masters and other engaging themes. ALL IN PERSON ART WORKSHOPS INCLUDE A SNACK AND DRINK BREAK - SO WHY NOT PREPARE SOMETHING IN ADVANCE? WE WILL PAUSE LONG ENOUGH FOR YOU TO HAVE A BREAK
All children should have a parent help them prepare for the workshop, very young children may need guidance, but please let them carry out the artwork and try not to interfere to much with what they do!
